LAURA PELUSO

FASHION DESIGNER – CREATIVE CONSULTANT – PROJECT DESIGNER – ART DIRECTOR

Fashion, Art, Design and Lifestyle coexist in harmony in Laura Peluso’s professional path, creating “transversal” synergies in diversified disciplines. For an ever new dialogue that goes beyond its own boundaries.

And here creativity and imagination are expressed in continuity with managerial and organizational skills.

Veronese by birth, Milanese by adoption, having obtained an academic diploma in Fashion Design at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni and following her first experiences for the Oliver by Valentino accessories and leather goods collections and for the Americanino group in the première denim sector, she arrived at the Manufacture Mario Colombo as project manager of the Ten Yards and Colmar active and sportswear collections.

From 1996 to 2007 she was part of the Versace Group as style manager of the women’s sportswear RTW Versace Sport Collection and men’s sky wear collections, contributing to the great success of the project intended for a selected target at an international level. Giving life to the first contaminations between the world of luxury and activewear.

In the meantime, in 2006 she designed the “Lancia Moda Milano” collection for the centenary of the well-known car manufacturer: 100 items in a limited and numbered edition featuring special processing of elaborate threads with “optical fibres” and details of thickly galvanized accessories in 18k gold . Thus continuing the perspective of fusing style and functionality, luxury and movement, while also desecrating traditional preconceptions.

A certain curiosity, excellent cultural roots, acquired know-how and natural creative streak lead her to contribute to the “Spenser Biella 1882” project with Glocal Design Studio together with the international designer and artist Daniele Basso.

The luxury and sport journey continues with the Spyder U.S.A. skywear collection project. in collaboration with Christophe Fortis.

For six years she was project designer for the fur collections for the brands Fabio Gavazzi, Mavina and Xuodoux, thanks to the profound expertise gained during the various collaborations, which always took place in close, profitable contact with the commercial management.

After her experience with the Bric’s Group for the Fashion Frames” project by Francesca Versace, she collaborated as designer and style director for the women’s and men’s collections of Rindi, one of the most important Italian companies in the luxury and high-end sector craftsmanship.

Subsequently, in addition to having carried out capsule collection projects, including her own personal label Scarabesque, she achieved product consultancy collaborations with various international groups, traveling to the main European capitals such as Paris, London, Munich, Dusseldorf as well as New York and Miami.

Since 2010 she has collaborated as fashion coordinator and style product for the Purotatto women’s collections, inspired by a filtered and less frenetic reality, making use of the intrinsic beauty of natural materials and fibres.

The fascination for the artistic expressions encountered during the numerous trips, for the strong chromatic contrasts and for the profound autobiographical stories revealed in the works, led her to become interested in Contemporary Chinese Art, becoming a collector and gallery owner in 2014, founding the Madeinartgallery project with the collaboration by the curator Vincenzo Sanfo.

In 2023 Madeinartgallery collaborates in the scenographic and emblematic exhibition “China – The new frontier of Art” at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, promoted by the Municipality of Milan-Culture with the curatorship of Vincenzo Sanfo himself.
